Art Basel Paris 2024: Exhibitors and Highlights Revealed
Art Basel has revealed the list of exhibitors and initial highlights for its 2024 show in Paris, now named Art Basel Paris. This inaugural event will be held at the iconic Grand Palais.
Renaming to Art Basel Paris
Following consultations with local partners, Art Basel’s show in the French capital has been renamed to Art Basel Paris. This change coincides with its first edition at the newly renovated Grand Palais.
Grand Palais: A Historic Venue
The 2024 edition marks the first fair at the Grand Palais after three years of renovations. The venue, inaugurated in 1900, is renowned for its historical significance.
Global Participation
The show will feature 194 galleries from 42 countries and territories, including 64 galleries based in France. Among these are 51 first-time participants, showcasing the best of their programs.
Introducing Premise Sector
A new sector, Premise, will present nine unique curatorial proposals. This initiative aligns with Art Basel’s mission to promote a more inclusive understanding of art history.
Oh La La! Initiative
From October 18 to 19, exhibitors will participate in the Oh La La! initiative, displaying rarely seen works in their booths to invigorate the second half of the show week.
Public Program and Collaborations
An extensive public program, developed with Paris’s leading cultural institutions, will take place across various locations in the city, enhancing the cultural experience.
Event Dates and Tickets
Art Basel Paris will run from October 18-20, 2024, with VIP Preview Days on October 16 and 17. Tickets, including discounted rates for students and seniors, are available on artbasel.com.

Galeries Sector
The Galeries sector will feature 169 leading Aart dealers from France and around the world. This includes 28 first-time participants showcasing a diverse range of artworks.
Some notable galleries include:
- Athr Gallery (Jeddah, Al-Ula, Riyadh) with works by Sara Abdu, Mohammad AlFaraj, Asma Bahmim, and Muhannad Shono.
- Di Donna (New York) showcasing masterpieces by Yves Tanguy, Alicia Penalba, Agustín Cárdenas, and Wifredo Lam.
- Goodman Gallery (Johannesburg, Cape Town, London) with works by William Kentridge, Kapwani Kiwanga, Cassi Namoda, and Leonardo Drew.
- Casey Kaplan (New York) featuring artists like Igshaan Adams, Kevin Beasley, and Jordan Casteel.
- Kiang Malingue (Hong Kong) with works by Brook Hsu, Hiroka Yamashita, Carrie Yamakoa, and Ellen Pau.
Emergence Sector
The Emergence sector, formerly known as Galeries Émergentes, will highlight 16 solo booths of emerging artists. This includes 14 newcomers to the Paris fair, showcasing innovative and radical works.
- Exo Exo (Paris) presenting the work of French artist Lou Fauroux.
- Kayokoyuki (Tokyo) with sculptures by Japanese artist Kenji Ide.
- Piktogram (Warsaw) showcasing paintings by Polish artist Jan Eustachy Wolski.
- Whatiftheworld (Cape Town) with an installation by Lungiswa Gqunta.
- What Pipeline (Detroit) presenting a project by Portugal-born artist Bruno Zhou.
Premise Sector
The newly introduced Premise sector will feature nine galleries presenting highly singular projects. This includes historical works and unconventional artistic practices.
- Nara Roesler (São Paulo, New York, Rio de Janeiro) presenting works by Tomie Ohtake and Chico Tabibuia.
- Sies + Höke (Düsseldorf) featuring photographic work by Sigmar Polke and Gerhard Richter.
- Bombon (Barcelona) showcasing drawings by Nazario.
- Galerie Dina Vierny (Paris) with a group presentation honoring Wilhelm Uhde.
- Pauline Pavec (Paris) with major works by Juliette Roche.
Art Basel Paris Partners
Art Basel Paris has partnered with several prominent organizations, including Audemars Piguet, NetJets, BMW, We Are Ona, GOAT, and Quintessentially. UBS continues as Art Basel’s Global Lead Partner.

Important Dates
VIP days are scheduled for October 16 and 17, 2024, followed by public days from October 18 to 20. Special vernissage tickets are available for the opening night on October 17.
