Guidance and Collaboration
ZUCKER & PARTNER, alongside their skilled team, played a crucial role in aiding the owners with the numerous decisions made over the yacht’s 41-month development period. Working in unison with Heesen‘s engineers and the Luca Dini Design and Architecture team, the owners have successfully achieved their dream of constructing the ideal yacht for long trips across the Scandinavian archipelago and Norwegian fjords. This yacht offers an unmatched level of privacy and comfort for the owners’ family and friends.
Owners’ Involvement and Appreciation
Stefan Zucker and Sven Stark, who served as the clients’ surveyors and project managers, noted the intense involvement of the clients. The owners’ enthusiasm for the yacht and their appreciation for everyone on the build team was unparalleled. Heesen managed to perfectly incorporate these enthusiastic owners into the production process and milestones.
Cinderella Noel IV: A Testament to the Owners’ Passion
What truly makes Cinderella Noel IV stand apart is the passion and dedication of her owners. The primary owner is a seasoned yachtsman who also captains the vessel, contributing numerous practical and technical insights from his vast sailing experience. The owners’ meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of yacht operations provided a golden opportunity for our shipyard to participate in the creation of this unique Heesen masterpiece.
Exceptional Performance and Rigorous Testing
Cinderella Noel IV, built as a smart custom yacht on our tried and tested engineering platform, unsurprisingly boasts exceptional performance. She exceeded all anticipations during three days of sea trials in the North Sea, even under adverse weather conditions. Captain Bob van Zundert from the shipyard remarked on the yacht’s prompt responses to helm and throttle commands in rough seas, inspiring great confidence and excitement in all onboard.
Attention to Detail and Environmental Responsibility
Working on a familiar engineering ground allowed the Heesen team and the owners to focus on the finer details of the yacht. This familiar territory acted as an ideal springboard for the experienced clients, enabling the shipyard to create a dream machine with the best possible balance between quality, customisation, and delivery time.
In an effort to reduce the yacht’s environmental footprint, the owner chose a hybrid propulsion system that employs the best of 21st-century technology. Heesen’s hybrid system offers undeniable benefits over traditional diesel propulsion, assuring that Cinderella Noel IV is cleaner, quieter, and more efficient than similar conventional crafts.
The Heart of the Hybrid System
The hybrid drivetrain, capable of supporting both propulsion and hotel needs, consists of the yacht’s twin MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) main engines, each connected to a water-cooled, 135kW Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft. This set-up provides versatility of operations, flexible power management, and redundancy, making it especially appealing for night passages due to silent cruising and minimal vibration.
“It has been a pleasure to build Cinderella Noel IV and work so closely with her owners on a yacht that fits them like a glove and can take them safely wherever they want to go. During the past 41 months, we have built a strong bond with our energetic clients and their teams, and we will miss them in the yard. We look forward to their updates on the great adventures they will have aboard their wonderful yacht. On behalf of everyone at the shipyard, we wish them fair winds and following seas!”
