Designed for Energy Maximization

This new creation caters to a generation of runners intent on harnessing maximum energy from their footwear. In their quest to understand the relationship between runners and energy, Adidas initiated a research study. The findings revealed that 21% of 18–24-year-olds view their energy levels as a significant concern.

“The next generation is under a lot of pressure, burnt out, feels disorientated at the state of the world and there are so many demands on their energy and time. When it comes to making a choice about what they focus on, physical exercise like running can often be one of the first things to go. 60% of those who don’t dedicate as much time as they’d like to sport, mention a lack of energy as the main reason, despite the positive endorphins it releases.”

The Science Behind Ultraboost 5

The Ultraboost 5, engineered with a LIGHT BOOST™ midsole, houses an additional 9mm of foam under the heel and forefoot. This innovative design promotes less weight, higher cushioning, and an impressive 2% more forefoot energy return compared to the Ultraboost Light 1. The secret? The Boost-packed midsole offers higher responsiveness and cushioning, instantly reverting to its original shape as the runner’s foot touches the ground, allowing for extended runs with the same energy input.

Reimagined Upper for Optimal Comfort

Complementing its state-of-the-art midsole, the Ultraboost 5 features a reimagined Primeknit upper. This design focuses on adaptability and fit, offering maximum breathability to keep the foot cool at each stride.
