Bentley Collaborates with Bang Bang
Bentley Americas has announced an exciting partnership with Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy, a tattoo artist known globally for his remarkable designs on famous individuals. Bang Bang Tattoo in New York City has recently revealed Magic Ink, an innovative tattoo ink technology that allows tattoos to appear or disappear with specific types of light, offering clients a new way to alter their body art.
Unveiling a Unique Art Car
The collaboration has led to the creation of a one-of-a-kind art car, which was unveiled during Miami Art Week. This vehicle showcases a UV-activated design, merging the expertise of two artistic pioneers who excel in turning their clients’ ideas into personal masterpieces through a collaborative process.
Bang Bang’s Global Influence
Bang Bang, along with his team of over 35 artists across 15 countries, captures each client’s story with tattoos. His approach aligns with Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke division, which designs unique cars that reflect the owner’s passions and individuality.
“This is an exciting exploration of the realm of artistic customization in an entirely new medium. Bentley offers a canvas as luxurious and transformative as my tattoo art. This project allows us to create a masterpiece that celebrates individuality in motion.”

Revealing at Miami Art Week 2024
During Miami Art Week 2024, Bentley’s Art in Motion show immersed attendees in a multi-sensory experience, featuring projection mapping and UV light installations. These displays included a UV vehicle wrap with ultraviolet printing, similar to Bang Bang’s Magic Ink technology. A Bentley Bentayga EWB was the canvas for an impressive design collaboration, led by Bang Bang and Bentley Mulliner designers, inspired by Bentley’s diverse range and their new partnership.
Design Inspired by a Journey
Rich Morris, a design consultant for Bentley Mulliner, describes the car’s exterior as initially featuring sharp, tessellated shapes on the hood, representing the stress felt at the beginning of a journey. These shapes then flow into a smooth ripple pattern along the sides, reminiscent of water droplets, forming Bentley’s distinctive Azure diamond motif. This transformation symbolizes the shift from stress to calm satisfaction upon reaching one’s destination in a Bentley.
Dynamic Energy and Performance
The influence of Bang Bang injects a sense of dynamic energy and power, similar to Bentley’s Speed range. Under ultraviolet black lights during the reveal, bold, animalistic artwork is revealed, highlighting the potential of the vehicle. This striking imagery fills the negative spaces, balancing tranquility and vitality. This Bentley captures the collaboration’s essence of elegance and energy, setting a new benchmark for future innovations.
Personalized Luxury
Bentley and Bang Bang are transforming the concept of customization by combining artistic creativity with automotive superiority. Bang Bang will offer clients a chance to embed their personal stories into a unique Bentley, turning it into a mobile reflection of personal identity. The next Bentley x Bang Bang collaboration will be unveiled in 2025.
