Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has proudly revealed that the Gulfstream G800, specifically equipped for cabin testing, has embarked on its maiden flight.

The purpose of this flight is to confirm the cabin design and performance of the world’s longest-range airplane, focusing on passenger comfort and interior reliability.
First Flight Details
This initial outfitted G800 soared on Wednesday, November 27, flying for 1 hour and 41 minutes. It reached an altitude of 46,000 feet, which is approximately 14,021 meters, and achieved a maximum speed of Mach 0.91.
Joining the Test Fleet
The aircraft joins two other test planes in the comprehensive certification program. It will undergo rigorous testing, including repeated system operations under various flight phases and missions, such as overnight flights, extreme temperature conditions, and turbulence.

Cabin Features and Capacity
The G800 boasts features like a new ultragalley with ample counter space, refrigeration, and storage, alongside a beverage maker and cooking appliances. It can be set up in as many as four living areas and can hold up to 19 passengers, providing sleeping space for up to 10.
Impressive Range and Efficiency
This aircraft is the longest-range Gulfstream ever, capable of traveling 8,000 nautical miles, which is 14,816 kilometers, at Mach 0.85, and 7,000 nautical miles, or 12,964 kilometers, at Mach 0.90, offering top-notch fuel efficiency and a minimal carbon footprint.
Advanced Features for Enhanced Experience
The G800 offers the Gulfstream Cabin Experience with entirely fresh air purified by a plasma ionization system, the lowest cabin altitude in business jets, and very quiet sound levels. It also features 16 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows, the largest of their kind.
Cutting-Edge Flight Deck Technology
The aircraft is equipped with the award-winning Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck, featuring the first active control sidesticks and advanced touch-screen technology.
