Nike Unveils 2024 Kits in Paris
Nike showcased its “Nike On Air” experience in Paris, revealing the 2024 national and federation kits with over 40 top athletes.
Partnerships Across Sports
Nike collaborates with more than 100 federations in various sports and supports numerous individual athletes competing in the games.
Advanced Athlete-Informed Designs
The 2024 kits are the most advanced, athlete-informed, and data-driven designs Nike has created, using 4D motion-capture data for precise engineering.
Inspired by Unique Identities
Each kit is inspired by the unique identities and diverse communities of each country and sport.
Voice of the Athlete
To make each kit, Nike’s design teams began with athletes’ feedback, focusing on every detail.
Variety in Track and Field
The aim was to provide options that met athletes’ needs for choice, comfort, and performance, especially in track and field sports with various disciplines.
Designing for Performance
“Nike created the Paris 2024 track and field kits to offer athletes different silhouettes suited for various sports, body types, and sizes, prioritizing performance and breathability,” says John Hoke, Nike’s Chief Innovation Officer.
Custom Options for Athletes
With nearly 50 unique pieces for men’s and women’s track and field and a dozen competition styles for specific events, athletes can select outfits that fit their style and preferences without losing comfort in Paris.
Meeting Athletes’ Needs
This collaboration has successfully met the athletes’ precise needs and specifications.
Athlete Feedback
“I had the chance to give feedback and insights that helped shape the new USATF Kit,” says hurdler Anna Cockrell. “During testing, this fit let me move freely without distraction, and I love how it represents Team USA.”
Continued Athlete Insights
Athlete feedback remains a key element in Nike’s design process, including this year’s kit designs, adds Hoke. “By working directly with athletes at every design stage, Nike ensured the garments fit various body types and style preferences, using real-time feedback throughout the product development cycle.”
Combining Research and Design
By combining Nike’s expertise in sport research and computational design with the Dri-FIT ADV platform, athletes will stay cool, dry, and ready to perform this summer.
