Celebrating Hublot’s 40th Anniversary

In 2020, to mark Hublot’s 40th anniversary, Samuel Ross revealed the REFORM sculpture, which inspired the Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross. This was their first collaborative timepiece, showcasing his love for color, geometry, and Hublot’s iconic ‘fusion’ of materials.

Unveiling the Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A

This groundbreaking model paved the way for the new Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A by Samuel Ross, revealed at Miami Art Week. While experimenting with hues of orange and green, Samuel Ross reimagined the materials, introducing a new blue chromatic variation.

Details of the New Model

Maintaining a 44 mm diameter and 13.75 mm thickness, the iconic Big Bang case now features a grey honeycomb pattern that continues into the movement. The bezel has a dual finish—satin on top and microblasted on the side—and includes hands and hour markers in two shades of blue. The lighter blue also decorates the crown moulding. Frosted grey carbon forms the flanks and bezel lugs, and the dial is crafted from sapphire. As with previous versions, the Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A by Samuel Ross is powered by the Manufacture calibre HUB6035, featuring 264 components, a self-winding micro-rotor, and a skeleton tourbillon visible at 6 o’clock. It offers a 72-hour power reserve. The dark blue rubber strap, perforated with the honeycomb motif, is adjustable with a redesigned clasp.
